Bolts' Power Play Struggles Continue, Go 0-for-3 in Game 3 Loss

Tampa Bay Now 2-for-12 on the Advantage This Series

Despite a strong regular season performance on the power play, the Tampa Bay Lightning have struggled to find their rhythm with the man advantage in the playoffs.

After going 0-for-3 in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Final series against the Florida Panthers, the Bolts are now just 2-for-12 on the power play.

In the regular season, Tampa Bay ranked fifth in the NHL with a power play conversion rate of 28.1%. However, that number has dropped to just 16.7% in the playoffs.

The Lightning's power play struggles have been particularly evident in their series against Florida. The Panthers have one of the best penalty kills in the league, and they've been able to effectively shut down Tampa Bay's top power play unit.

Even when the Lightning have been able to generate chances on the power play, they've often been unable to capitalize. They've missed open nets, hit posts, and turned the puck over, which has led to several shorthanded chances for the Panthers.

The Lightning will need to find a way to improve their power play if they want to win this series. They'll have another chance to do so in Game 4 on Tuesday night.
